You found me!

Every time I take a look at my blog stats, I see where people have come from to read my blog (a big hello to my international readers), what posts are being read and what search terms have brought people here. Often, I get a gigglefit when people search for things like ‘perfect wife dishes’ or ‘alcoholic solutions of volatile substances,’ and I thought it might be fun to do a little blog post of where you can go on Radical Geekery to find these things people are searching for.

‘crystallizes yummy gelatin for business’

This particular search term seems a little spammy, but apparently four people have found my blog with this particular phrase. Now, you might be like me and wonder what in the heck they are searching for…and then I remembered my Goodie Gumdrops recipe that I made last year. So, for those of you that are searching for ‘crystallizer yummy gelatin for business’ take a look at this recipe and you might find what you are looking for.

‘dumb ways to diy’

Now, this one was a little confusing. At first I read it as, dumb ways to d.i.y. (do-it-yourself), but then I realized it was a misspelling. Somehow, Google (the almighty search engine) had directed them to my blog when I posted the hilarious Dumb Ways to Die PSA from the Australian Metro. I still think it’s a funny coincidence that I’m a DIY blogger and their funny typo brought them here.

‘gnome’

Oh gnome, what am I going to do? I think it’s funny that out of all the blogs out there, several people were directed to mine by this one word. Last year, I was went to our local pottery painting studio, CreativiTea and painted the cutest gnome. His name is Gnomer and you should go and meet him here.

‘hufflepuff decoration ideas’

I’m not sure how this one came about, but I have actually only mentioned Hufflepuff once in a blog post so far. That was back when I bought a set of Hogwarts House socks. You can read more in this post (plus a feature of Harry Potter and Doctor Who nail polishes)

Futurama D&D alignment chart

‘d&d futurama’

This was a funny blend of words for me because I enjoy both of whatever these people were looking for. I’m a huge Futurama fan and I plan to dress up this year as Leela at the Emerald City Comic Con in March. What they ‘googlers; might have found was this post when I played Dungeon’s & Dragons with my brothers and hubby.

‘free recipe small red potato with picture’

This is an easy one. I loved potatoes (no surprises to those who know me personally) and one of my first recipes for the blog was a Rosemary Red Potatoes recipe that I wrote back in 2011. And, as a plus for those searching, it has pictures.

Note: All of the pictures were found using the above search terms and the first picture on Google was the one I picked.

  1. I love seeing the search terms that led people to my blog, though 90% of the time it is some variation on “matilda cake recipe” and that is by far my all time most popular blog post. With good reason, I think. ;P
