Rose Tyler: Rose.
The Doctor: Nice to meet you, Rose, – run for yer life!
Last night I experimented with making my own nail polish. I knew at the start that I had to make a Doctor Who themed batch and Rose was the first idea that popped into my mind. Most people were introduced to the new Doctor Who series with Rose Tyler as their companion, and I was no exception. I adore Rose and she will always be my first and favorite companion. This nail polish is colored with Rose Pearl Mica and English Rose fragrance oil. And no, I’m not kidding you, the names match this batch perfectly. It’s such a pretty pink and smells like an English Rose garden.
As I was racking my brain about what kind of Doctor Who themed nail polish to do next, I came across a fragrance with the name of Lemon Drop, and do you know the first thing that came to my mind? Professor Dumbledore’s favorite candy and I knew I just had to make a polish matching that description.
I had so much fun making nail polish last night and I know have several ideas for future polishes with Doctor Who Harry Potter and Futurama themes.
And, if you heard that loud squee earlier this evening it was me getting all fangirl excited about my brand new Harry Potter socks. Take a look at these beauties , one from every house — Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherian and Ravenclaw!

You’re a geek with awesome stuff!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my blog Jeyna! I’m so glad you like my little Doctor Who/Harry Potter nail polish bit.
Nail polish looks great. Maybe post some photos without the filtes, so we can see the actual color? Love the socks! Where did you get them?
Definitely will! I’m a filter junkie and I like applying them, but I’m hoping to have some up that aren’t filtered
And I got the socks at a Halloween store!
I was able to switch out the photos, what do you think now?
Awesome! That rose color is so pretty! And I’m totally a filter junkie too haha. You should see my photo-editing folder on my phone. I think I have about 8 apps just with filters!
Glad I’m not the only one!
I have a couple dozen on my laptop and a few on my phone. I just love applying filters, even if it isn’t how it actually looked. I would love to get better at taking pictures, but alas, my full-time job keeps me from it!
